Hi Gerry

::) You could try applying a thin layer of wood glue to the tenon and then wrapping a layer of cotton thread or very thin material over the glue.   Let the glue harden and then sand it down as required.

Also, from an internet search - "Swel-lock works miracles on wobbly chairs and shaky mortises". :)

Good luck & thanks.

 :)Hi Gerry,

You could try to use a wedge in the tenon... cut a slot in the tenon glue up and insert into the mortice, the tap in the wedge and when the glue has set sand down to a smooth finish

Cheers
