Hi,
    I am looking for Douglas Fir for building beehives. I am told it is
    very durable, thanks, adrian

you can buy douglas fir quite easily from the forestry service up north - finding someoone to mill it for you is more difficult, but there are places who will, try the yellow pages there will be a softwood sawmill near to you i am sure, since you only want short lengths of small boards you may be able to rip them yourself with a decent bandsaw
