I would really appreciate any advice you can give me on the following.

I purchased a kitchen from a local to me kitchen manufacturer and it has been installed this week, I am waiting for work tops etc.

It ws sold to me as being with solid walnut doors.

I discovered that the kitchen was actually manufactured in Italy and traced the company name and website and discovered that the doors are actually made of a solid lime wood painted a dark walnut colour.

I knew immediately I looked at the doors that they were not solid walnut and while I must admit to liking the look, they are a bit bland as opposed to the richness of solid walnut.

Can anyone tell me the differences in terms of cost, durability, look etc between lime painted and solid walnut.

I am of the opinion that I have been missold a product and would appreciate any feedback anyone can give me.

I know many of you work with both walnut and lime wood and would be far more familiar with their properties and costs etc than I so any feedback what so ever would be gratefully recieved.
